Customer discount terms

These rules govern the GoToll New Customer Discount (the “Promotion”) being conducted by Transurban Mobile LLC (“TM”).

1. How to participate

PARTICIPATION IN THE PROMOTION IS SUBJECT TO THE ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS SET FORTH IN SECTION 2 BELOW.

To participate in the Promotion, all customers must download GoToll, TM’s mobile tolling application (the “GoToll App”) and successfully complete the customer account registration process (including a valid payment method).

  • If a customer has not yet taken any Authorized Trip (as defined below) on an Eligible Toll Road (as defined in the Terms and Conditions available here (the “GoToll App Terms and Conditions”), then they must complete the following in order to be entitled to any Toll Credit (as defined below):
    • Activate the promotion code in the GoToll App (the “Activation Date”).
    • Take a trip on an Eligible Toll Road using one of the vehicles registered in the customer’s GoToll App (the “Authorized Trip”) on or before the 60th day following the Activation Date.
  • If a customer has already taken an Authorized Trip (as defined below) on an Eligible Toll Road, then they must complete the following in order to be entitled to any Toll Credit:
    • Activate the promotion code in the GoToll App within 48 hours of completing an Authorized Trip (the “Activation Period”). Any failure to activate the promotion code prior to expiration of the Activation Period will result in customer’s forfeiture of any Toll Credits payable in connection with the Promotion.

In addition, all account holders must be in “good standing”. For purposes of the Promotion, “good standing” shall mean an account that has not failed to make any payments for trips taken using the GoToll App and has not been blocked in accordance with the GoToll App Terms and Conditions. TM reserves the right to determine in its sole discretion whether a participant’s account is in “good standing.”

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

The Promotion is open to all persons (A) who are 18 years of age or older and (B) who have not yet paid for any Authorized Trips using the GoToll App (including any payments automatically deducted by the GoToll App).

The Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Only one Toll Credit will be issued per GoToll App account pursuant to the Promotion.

Participants are required to provide truthful information and TM reserves the right to reject and delete any account that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. TM will disqualify any individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements. TM also will disqualify any account that has been opened by a person under the age of 18 or proven to not be in compliance with the GoToll App Terms and Conditions.

3. TOLL CREDIT

The Promotion may only be used once per GoToll account and will entitle the customer up to a $5.00 credit for initiating their first toll road trip on an Eligible Toll Road using the GoToll App in accordance with the terms herein (the “Toll Credit”). If a customer meets the eligibility restrictions, their GoToll App account will be automatically credited. Toll credits may take up to [two weeks] from the date on which the applicable Authorized Trip was taken. The Toll Credit is only available for trips taken on Approved Toll Roads and will only be issued if the customer has not paid for any Authorized Trips using the GoToll App. Toll Credits issued to the customer pursuant to the Promotion shall be made as follows:

  • If a customer meets the eligibility requirements set forth herein and the toll charges incurred during the Authorized Trip is less than or equal to $5.00, the customer will not be charged for the trip. Once the applicable Toll Credit has been applied to the customer’s GoToll App account, all discounts to be provided to the customer under the Promotion will be considered paid in full.
  • If a customer meets the eligibility requirements set forth herein and the toll charges incurred during the Authorized Trip is greater than $5.00, the customer will be charged an amount equal to the toll charges associated with such trip minus $5.00, the balance of which will be paid by the payment method provided by the customer in the GoToll App. Once the applicable Toll Credit has been applied to the customer’s GoToll App account, all discounts to be provided to the customer under the Promotion will be considered paid in full.

TM reserves the right to change, add, delete or alter in any way the official Promotion details and restrictions at any time during any promotion, without prior notice.

4. CONDITIONS

Decisions made by TM with respect to the Promotion are final.

A maximum of 10,000 promotion codes will be available for use by GoToll users in connection with the Promotion (the “Cap”). Once the Cap has been reached, the Promotion shall automatically terminate.

The Promotion is governed by and subject to the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law. Toll Credit recipients will pay all applicable taxes and fees.

Prior to crediting the discount to customer accounts, TM, in its sole discretion, may require the discount recipient to sign a liability release, agreeing to release and hold harmless TM, its officers and employees, member agencies, directors, agents and representatives and all of their successors and assigns from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from credit and participation in the Promotion.

If for any reason the Promotion cannot be executed as planned, including, but not limited to, as a result of infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of TM that corrupt or affect the security, administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, or if the Promotion is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, TM reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Promotion. If the Promotion is terminated before the original end date, those participating in the Promotion prior to the termination will still be eligible to receive the Toll Credit.

TM, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of GoToll, TM or any TM-affiliated websites. Failure to comply with the rules of the Promotion may result in a participant’s disqualification and/or forfeiture of any Toll Credits. If TM makes a good faith determination that cheating or fraudulent activity has occurred in connection with the Promotion, TM reserves the right to disqualify that customer from participating in future Promotions and to seek prosecution and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

TM reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the Promotion, including, without limitation, the substitution of a credit of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.

TM is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Promotion, or in the announcement of a promotional credit.

By downloading or using the GoToll App, participating in this Promotion, using any TM affiliated websites or by completing the customer account registration process in the GoToll App, you agree to the GoToll App’s Terms and Conditions located here, the Terms of use located at: https://gotoll.com/website-terms-of-use and to the use of your personal information as described in the Privacy policy located at: https://www.gotoll.com/privacy-policy.
